ARTESOL English for Specific Purposes Interest Section

ESP E-journal

A Refereed International Journal of Issues in Teaching English for Specific Purposes

Dear Colleagues,

This is a call for articles from ARTESOL English for Specific Purposes Interest Section for 2016 edition of ESP E-journal, a refereed international journal of issues in Teaching English for Specific Purposes. ARTESOL ESP E-journal receives submissions of unpublished manuscripts on any topic related to the area.

Four categories of manuscripts are evaluated:

espjournal(1)Contributions. short articles published by prestigious ESP specialists.

Research Articles. This is a section devoted to the publication of research articles that will be refereed by three renowned researchers.

Pedagogical Experiences in ESP. This section includes the description of new experiences (strategies, techniques, course design) within ESP.

Reviews. This section includes reviews of books and journals published by Universities, Teacher Training Colleges and other institutions interested in the development of ESP courses or studies.

Articles should be submitted in Microsoft Word or RTF document format. Full-length articles should be no more than 5,500 words in length, excluding appendices. For more details, see the submission guidelines and the sample articles here.

Please note that the deadline for your contributions is October 31st, 2016. Your articles should be submitted to artesolespjournal@gmail.com.

The editorial board will contact you as soon as your article goes through the different stages of the review process. We look forward to and do count on your being a part of this edition. Once your article has been accepted, it will be published within a year as from September 1, 2016.

tesol-50In keeping with the 50th Anniversary theme “Reflecting Forward,” TESOL has recognized two groups of professionals: 50 who have made significant contributions to the profession within the past 50 years (50 at 50), and 30 who are emerging as leaders in the profession (30 Up and Coming). Congratulations to the selected ones!

Each leader listed below has made a significant contribution to the TESOL profession within the past 50 years. The leaders were selected by the 50th Anniversary Advisory Team from more than 120 nominees.

TESOL International Association congratulates these outstanding TESOL professionals! Their leadership has helped build the association and develop English language teaching and learning into a profession that touches the lives of students and educators worldwide.

The ELT Community welcomed the 2016 English Language Fellows Tylie Cramer and Tamara Al-Kasey at ICANA yesterday afternoon. The English Language Fellow Program is sponsored by the US Department of State and the US Embassy in Argentina. Tyle will be posted at IICANA (the binational center in Córdoba), and Tamara at AMICANA (the BNC in Mendoza).
