Teaching children may sound fun but it is not as easy as it could look. Very Young Learners, AKA Preschoolers, are even more challenging. Strategies and activities have to be adapted to their age, abilities and interests. But, at the same time, you have to consider other aspects as the parents and the students’ emotions, specially when you are remote teaching in a context like Venezuela. Let’s know more about them:.Emma Palma Velásquez is a Venezuelan EFL instructor at Academia Angloamericana, a university lecturer of the English departament of the School of Modern Languages — ULA, and an active member of the Centro de Investigación en Lenguas Extranjeras (CILE — ULA). Currently, she is completing a master’s programme in Instructional Design and ICT for Educational Purposes (MEIDI — ULA).Luisana Paraguacuto has been an English teacher since July 2012. She holds both a Bachelor’s degree and a Masters degree in Education from UPEL and she also has international teaching certifications as CELTA and TKT. She has been working at Fyr Lois for more than 7 years, with different age groups, from children aged 4 years old to adults, as well as different levels as beginners, intermediate and advance students. She also taught English and Planning at university level at UPEL from September 2014 to February 2018.
