Los cargos de Presidente, Vicepresidente primero y Vicepresidente segundo se renovarán el 1 de noviembre de 2025.

Dear Members of the Board of Directors,

I am writing in order to apply for the position of Secretary of the Board of Directors of ARTESOL

My name is Élida Rolli. I have a degree as Teacher of English at the Teachers’ Training College “Joaquin V González”, a university diploma as Teacher of English from UCAECE and I took a Master’s degree on Education Projects Management at UCAECE, although the thesis is still pending. At present I am working on the final paper for a post graduate degree on “Cognitive Neurosciences of Language and Reading” at UBA. My work experience includes teaching English at different levels for over forty years, being Coordinator of the English Department and Consultant at several Teachers’ Contests at Dámaso Centeno School and Member of the Board in a Teachers’ Context in the Military School of Languages. I have been teaching at the School of Philosophy and Letters of Buenos Aires University for the past twenty eight years.

I have been working as a member of ARTESOL Board of Directors for the last six years, and I have attended and participated in the Board of Directors’ meetings actively, which has allowed me to be acquainted with the structure and the functioning of ARTESOL as TESOL affiliate. I have also been acting as editor of ARTESOL EFL Journal and collaborating with the Academic Committee reading proposals for the Conventions. I have attended ARTESOL Conventions regularly and made some presentations. I also acted as host in the latest ARTESOL Virtual Convention.

I am motivated to apply once more for the position of Secretary of the Board of Directors by a strong commitment with this Organisation which encourages teachers’ development and creativity to become better professionals. I have read the Board of Directors’ Internal Regulations thoroughly and I see I have no conflict of interests, and I also agree with all its terms. I can devote more than five hours a week to work at the Board and I hope to be as useful as possible.

Me dirijo a Ud. para postularme para el cargo de Órgano de Fiscalización de la Comisión Directiva de ARTESOL, institución de la cual soy miembro desde hace muchos años. El motivo de esta postulación la relevancia que tiene ARTESOL en el ámbito académico de enseñanza del idioma inglés, el gran impacto que siempre tuvo en mi profesión, en mi interés por poner a servicio de la asociación mi experiencia en gestión, y ofrecer mayor representatividad desde el interior del país, en donde que me desempeño como docente y directora académica. Soy profesora de inglés, egresada del Prof. Superior de Lenguas Vivas de Salta, diplomada en gestión educativa y especializada en educación a distancia por la Universidad Nacional de Salta. Soy miembro de Comisión Directiva de Argentina TESOL desde 2019 contribuyendo desinteresadamente con las acciones académicas que la asociación lleva a cabo.

Actualmente, continúo trabajando en mi desarrollo profesional, especializándome en las áreas tecnología educativa e inclusión. Además de mi experiencia en educación inicial, primaria, secundaria y educación técnica, llevo a cabo la gestión académica del Centro Binacional Argentino Norteamericano en Salta en el cual realizo coordinación y supervisión de programas académicos en todos los niveles de inglés, incluyendo programas de capacitación pública para docentes.
Manifiesto conocer y estar de acuerdo con el reglamento interno y con los deberes y atribuciones pertinentes al cargo al que me postulo. Me comprometo a trabajar activamente en las tareas necesarias dedicando 2 horas semanales a las mismas y mayor cantidad de horas en la época en que el trabajo se intensifica. Estoy dispuesta a participar de las Asambleas y reuniones a las que la asociación me convoque. En caso de no ser elegida para el cargo al que me postulo, quedo a disposición para trabajar en el espacio en el que la asociación me necesite.
