Awakening EL’s potential through visually enhanced learning activities

Two generations of digital, global, and visual learners—Alphas and GenZers—challenge ELT educators to rethink their postpandemic pedagogic approach. This session explores these students’ learning needs and provides attendees with
useful strategies to transform their lessons with visually enhanced, generationally friendly practice activities that make learning stick and improve outcomes.

Indira Bakshi, English Language Fellow 2023, was given a welcome reception by the Public Affairs section for the US Embassy in Argentina and Silvia Breiburd, Argentina TESOL’s Vice President was in charge of introducing the work of the association as part of a description of the ELT panorama in Argentina.
Indira shared her plans, hopes and expectations regarding her exchange at ATICANA, a binational center (or BNC) supported by the Embassy in Tucuman City. Silvia had the opportunity to share some details about Artesol’s Annual Conference to be held in Salta next June. Needless to say, Indira has already been invited to join this unique and long-awaited event.
