About the Theme
As Argentina TESOL celebrates its 40th anniversary, this special issue of the ARTESOL EFL E-Journal invites English language educators, researchers, and teacher trainers to reflect on our rich history while envisioning the future of ELT.
Throughout four decades, ARTESOL has been a cornerstone for teacher collaboration, professional growth, and community building. This milestone edition focuses on how building strong, sustainable networks among teachers honors our collective legacy while driving pedagogical innovation in diverse educational contexts across Argentina and beyond.
Suggested Topics & Strands
We welcome original submissions that address, but are not limited to, the following sub-themes:
Honoring Legacy: Historical perspectives on ELT in Argentina; the evolution of teacher communities and professional associations over the last four decades.
Building Networks: Collaborative action research; professional learning communities (PLCs); mentorship models; and local/global networking for language teachers.
Inspiring Innovation: Emerging technologies, AI in ELT, innovative methodologies, and contemporary approaches to language teaching and assessment.
Diversity, Equity & Inclusion: Inclusive practices, intercultural communication, and contextualized pedagogy within teacher networks.
Teacher Well-being & Agency: Continuous professional development (CPD), teacher resilience, and leadership within educational institutions.
Submission Categories
Research Articles: Empirical studies on ELT, teacher education, or professional networks (4,000 – 6,000 words).
Essays & Theoretical Reflections: Critical analysis, history of ELT, or conceptual frameworks (2,500 – 4,000 words).
Reports & Pedagogical Experiences: Descriptions of successful classroom practices, collaborative projects, or community initiatives (1,500 – 2,500 words).
Book / Resource Reviews: Critical reviews of recent publications or digital tools relevant to EFL educators (800 – 1,200 words).
Submission Guidelines
Language: All articles must be written in English.
Format: Submissions must be sent in Microsoft Word format (.doc / .docx), double-spaced, 12pt Times New Roman font, with 1-inch margins.
Citation Style: Strictly adhere to APA Style (7th edition).
Abstract: Include an abstract of up to 150–200 words and 3–5 keywords.
Anonymity: Articles must be blinded for peer review. Please include author details (Name, affiliation, short bio, and contact email) on a separate title page.
